A Perfect Family Getaway on Lake Michigan
Our families had an absolutely unforgettable stay at this stunning lake house on Lake Michigan. Between our two families, we had 3 boys and 3 girls, and the home had more than enough space, privacy, and comfort for everyone. The location is truly unbeatable—right on the water with expansive private beach frontage and a huge grassy backyard, complete with a fire pit and panoramic views of the lake.
Falling asleep to the sound of the waves crashing just outside was pure magic, and the sunsets were breathtaking every single evening. We loved how close we were to the famous Tunnel of Trees and only a short 10-minute drive to the charming downtown of Harbor Springs.
Erik and Deanna were incredible hosts—thoughtful, responsive, and had the house set up with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The home was spotless when we arrived, and every detail had been considered to make us feel welcome.
This was one of the best vacations we’ve ever had, and we’re already talking about coming back. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful, scenic, and well-appointed escape on Lake Michigan!

The Das Nord Haus is a place I have been visiting since 1990. It was a thrill to bring my family up there last summer! The place is in a location that is remote for privacy but close to amenities. The house is extremely spacious (we had 10 people in our party). We had the beach mostly to ourselves, the sunsets seemed to last forever in majestic fashion, great kitchen with lots of room to cook and a first rate guest house where the older kids stayed. There is exquisite touch to every detail of the house decor. A true gem in one of the most enchanting places in the world!
